What a wonderful opportunity we have for our students to learn to play a musical instrument, for free and within the school day.
What’s available for me?
- 4th graders:
- 5th graders:
- Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
- Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Snare Drum
- 6th graders:
- Violin, Viola, Cello, Bass
- Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Snare Drum, or Alto Sax IF you are a continuing clarinet student
- 4th through 6th graders:
Lessons are provided FREE, once each week in a pull out format. Beginning students will be in a class with the same instrument, while Continuing students will learn to be part of a mixed-instrument ensemble. All will have a chance to perform and show off their new talents!
In addition, this year all of our TK-3rd grade students will receive 30 minutes of weekly general music instruction, using rhythm instruments, vocalization and movement to introduce concepts of rhythm, pitch, and musical intervals - all hidden in play and teamwork!
