Principal's Weekly Message- May 10, 2024

Campus Updates & Reminders:

The weather is changing as we get ready for summer. Please make sure that your students bring water to school with them to stay hydrated as we try to take advantage of outdoor learning time. We have several water refill stations throughout the campus to get more water as the day goes on.

Grades 3 through 6 have started our state standardized testing! Our goal is to complete the testing in the next two weeks. It’s important that students get to school on time so they can join their testing session. Once testing starts, late students cannot enter the testing environment and will have to complete the test during a make up period at a later date.

PTO Message:

The Bike Rodeo is coming to campus May 15th after school! The City of Davis Police hosts this fun event as part of our school’s bicycle skills program. The event consists of a number of stations that allow your child to learn and practice proper bicycling skills. In order for your child to participate, the following is required:

  • A signed waiver turned into the front office prior to May 15 or at event day check-in (available in the front office)
  • Children must bring their own bike, wear a bicycle helmet and shoes that fasten, no flip-flops allowed.

Looking to become more involved with PTO? Planning has already begun for next year’s PTO Board! If you are interested in any of these positions or would like more information, please email Parliamentarian, Kristine Wise, at [email protected]. We will be looking to fill the following positions:
