Principal's Weekly Message- November 3, 2023

Campus Updates & Reminders:

Parent teacher conferences will be taking place the week of November 13th. Please check to see if your child's teacher has sent you a link for sign-ups. All 1st through 6th graders will be dismissed at 12:10 that week. We will offer lunch beginning at 12:10 until 12:40 for any students wishing to eat a school lunch. Any student not wishing to have a school lunch should be picked up at 12:10. All other students must be picked up from lunch at 12:40.

Students enrolled in after school programs such as DKK and Catalyst will be taken to their appropriate programs after lunch. TK and Kindergarten will operate on their normal schedule.

Our annual Youth Truth Survey is now open! Thank you to all families who have already completed your survey for this year. Please take the time to fill out this survey as it gives us extremely important feedback for how we run our school. The survey only takes about 10 minutes. You can complete the survey through this link: http://ytsurvey.org/djusdfamily23

PTO Message:

The Jog-A-Thon is less than one week away (Wednesday, November 8)! Our goal is to raise $20,000 and we need your help!!  Pledges can be made directly on our 99pledges website or via cash or check. You should have received an email a few weeks ago from Carly Maurano with the instructions to set up your child's pledge page. It only takes about 2 minutes and is super easy to do!

Remember, the class that brings in the most money will earn a special prize :) Ms. Scott's class is currently leading for total pledged, but I know we can catch up! You can check out our class's standing on the 99 Pledges Korematsu Fundraising page (link above). Details and frequently asked questions have also been added to our KPTO website.

Thank you, as always, for your help and support. The money we raise through this event will fund many awesome programs and activities for our kids. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me or the jog-a-thon team.
