Campus Updates & Reminders:
This week our students participated in a school-wide PBIS kick off assembly! Under the guidance of Ms. Amanda (our TOSA), students went over school expectations in various areas such as the lunch tables, playground, bathrooms, and MPR. Talk to your child about the assembly and see if they can tell you some of the strategies that we are using as a school to make these areas safe for all.
This year, DJUSD is continuing to place a focus on school attendance. Please continue to call any absences to our office so we can appropriately document them in our student information system. Automatically generated letters are beginning to be sent through our student information system for any student experiencing excessive absences and/ or tardies. If you receive one of these letters, please follow any guidelines that are outlined for you. In some cases, attendance meetings with the principal and/or district staff may be scheduled. If you receive a letter or request for a meeting, don’t panic. This is a team effort and we want to make sure we are doing everything we can to support a successful school year for your student.
PTO Message:
If you missed t-shirt sales, our online store will be open September 24th- October 8th. This sale will include adult sizes and warmer clothing for the winter ahead. Look for messaging with the store link soon!
Running club for 1st through 3rd graders begins next week! This will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:35 to 3:05. A signed permission slip is required for any child to attend.
