
Campus Updates & Reminders:
Next week is our spring conference week. To allow for teachers to have time to meet with families, we will be operating on a modified schedule.
- TK classes will follow their normal schedule for the week.
- Kindergarten through 6th grade classes will operate 8:30-1:35 all week.
- Students enrolled in after school programs (SPARK or Catalyst) must report to their programs at the end of the school day.
- All other students must follow their after school procedures at the 1:35 dismissal (ex: car pick up, bike home, walk home, etc.)

Social Justice Corner:
Each month we learn about two social justice icons. Let’s learn about our second icon for Women’s History Month, Patsy Takemoto Mink:
- Born in 1927 on the Hawaiian island of Maui
- Studied zoology and chemistry in college before getting a law degree
- Represented Hawaii in the US House of Representatives; re-elected 5 times
- She was the first woman of color and the first Asian-American woman elected to Congress
- Worked to promote laws supporting civil rights, public education, fair housing, and fair labor
- Co-wrote the Title IX law that made it illegal to discriminate against a person based on their sex; ensuring equal opportunity for women
- Inducted to National Women’s Hall of Fame and received the Presidential Medal of Freedom
