Weekly Howler: Week of April 6, 2026

Campus Updates & Reminders:

Don’t forget that our annual Open House event is next Thursday from 6:00-7:30. This is a great time to visit your child’s classroom and celebrate all of the wonderful work they have done this year. As a reminder, this is not an appropriate time to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss any concerns. If you need time to meet with your child’s teacher, please reach out to them to set up a time.

Next week we will be conducting our Spring Safety Week. During this time we practice preparedness by running through all of our drills with students and staff.

Our lost and found is overflowing again. Please come by to take a look for any of your child’s items. Anything left behind after next week will be donated.

We need an adult coordinator for Spring Running Club! Help our Kinder-3rd grade kids get out their energy and earn foot charms for miles ran. Responsibilities include setting out cones, tracking permission slips and miles ran, and coordinating volunteers for corner marshalls on Tuesday and Thursday afterschool. Email [email protected] to help!

Social Justice Corner:

Each month we learn about social justice heroes. Let’s learn about our first hero, Temple Grandin, as we celebrate Autism Acceptance Month:

  • Wasn’t diagnosed with Autism until she was an adult
  • Autism is when the brain works differently and may cause people to communicate differently or have difficulty understanding other people
  • American activist working towards the humane treatment of livestock
  • Received several honors including being named one of the 100 more influential people by Time Magazine in the “heroes” category and being inducted into the National Women’s Hall of Fame
