Campus Updates & Reminders:
Thank you for joining us for our annual Open House event! It’s always wonderful to get to showcase the hard work of our students. This leads us to the last home stretch of the school year!
State testing is coming soon for our 3rd through 6th graders! Testing will begin in May and your child’s teacher will reach out to you with their specific testing dates. Teachers are coordinating times for practice tests over the next few weeks to get our students familiar with the testing interface.
PTO Message:
KPTO Meeting Wednesday 4/15, 7-8pm. We'll be reviewing our plans for next school year, including the budget and board nominations. Meet in the library or online.
Bike Rodeo is coming to Korematsu! We need volunteers to help Wednesday, April 29th from 1-3pm, including a few adults experienced with basic bike maintenance. Volunteer! If we do not secure volunteers, we will need to cancel the event.

Social Justice Corner:
Each month we learn about social justice heroes. Let’s learn about our second hero, Satoshi Tajiri, as we celebrate Autism Acceptance Month:
- Born August 28, 1965 in Tokyo Japan
- Loved catching, collecting, and learning about bugs as a child
- Became fascinated with arcade games as a teeneager
- Studied electronics and computer science at a technical school instead of going to traditional university
- Created Pokemon as a game for people to positively interact with each other
- Named one of the top 100 game creators of all time
