Campus Updates & Reminders:
Our Week of Responsibility is in the books! Our main responsibility as a school was keeping everyone as safe as possible during this extreme heat. That meant a lot of alternatives to our normal outside time. Kudos to our students for being flexible with our changes and acting responsibly!
Next week, we will wrap up our P.A.W.S. review with the Week of Safety. As part of this, DJUSD will be testing the emergency alert system on Wednesday. Again, this is a test! We will be conducting further safety drills in October.
Back to School Night is rescheduled for this Thursday. This is a great opportunity to get to know your child's teacher and learn about what the year has in store for them. There will be a quick welcome in the quad prior to release to the classrooms. Please meet in the quad at 5:45 for primary and 6:45 for intermediate presentations.
PTO Message:
PTO is looking for members and donations! If you are interested in being a participating member and/or making a donation to PTO, you can do so at https://korematsupto.org. This is a great way to stay involved in the school's success.
Frozen Fridays are continuing next week. Popsicles and ice cream will be for sale for $1 after school at the cafeteria picnic benches. PTO will also have tshirts and car magnets for sale at this event.
