Campus Updates & Reminders:
It was a week filled with love at Korematsu as we celebrated Valentine's Day! We enjoyed spending time with our students and being able to show how much we care for them.
Our EL re-classification ceremony was a huge success. On Thursday we celebrated the 15 students who now are English proficient and hold the superpower of being bilingual! A huge thanks to our amazing ELD team of Mrs. Swanson and Mrs. Beau for all of their hard work.
Black History Month is well underway! Walking through classrooms over the last two weeks has given a peak into the heroes of the Black community that we celebrate.
Don't forget that we have another three day-weekend! We will see everyone on Tuesday!
PTO Message:
Save the Date! Our annual Korematsu Auction is coming up on April 22nd. PTO will be sending out more information about tickets as we get closer. The auction committee is still in need of some volunteers, specifically someone to help with technology (ex: setting up QR codes for auction items), program materials (ex: auction flyers/ paper programs), and outreach for auction donations. There are also other opportunities to volunteer leading up to and on the day of the event. Please reach out to to Maren Heise ([email protected]) or Jennifer Clary ([email protected]).
Our yearbook is on sale now! Purchases can be made at https://buytheyearbook.com using the school code "713053".
Kona Ice is back! Come to Mace Ranch Park after school on Fridays to enjoy a sweet treat at the end of the week!
