Campus Updates & Reminders:
We are so excited to kick off the school year with your student! Our staff has been engaged in team building and trainings for the last few days to prep for the new year. They have also been busy getting their classrooms ready for our students' return on Tuesday! Give a big "thank you" and "great job" when you greet our staff next week.
Students are allowed on campus beginning at 8:10 every morning. Classroom doors will open at 8:20, with instruction beginning at 8:30. If your child arrives between 8:10 and 8:20, they are instructed to wait on the blacktop until classroom doors open.
It is still hot outside. Please make sure your child comes to school with a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day. Water filling stations are available on campus.
PTO Message:
PTO will be selling limited t-shirt and car magnet gear on the first day of school. You can find their table in front of the library before and after school. There will be more opportunities to purchase a variety of gear in person and through our online store in the coming weeks.
If you are looking to get involved, PTO monthly meetings will be held the third Wednesday of each month on the Korematsu campus.
PTO is also looking for a new Active-4-Me Coordinator! Without a coordinator (and more morning bike scanners) we will not be able to continue with this valuable program that sends you a message when your child arrives safely at school. The coordinator role requires about an hour a week (most of which can be done at home). Scanners only need to be on campus for about 20 minutes in the morning. Volunteer for one morning or several! Ideally, we'd have two scanners each morning. If you are interested in being the Active 4 Me coordinator or a scanner, please email Ruby Germain at [email protected]

Monday 8/22 @ 4:00 to 5:00pm- Paperless Parade for TK, K, 1st grade students (classrooms open) and any new students 2nd-6th grade (classrooms closed, but campus open)
Tuesday 8/23- First Day of School!
Wednesday 9/7- Back to School Night (Primary grades 5:45-6:40; Intermediate grades 6:45-7:40)
Tuesday 9/27- School Picture Day
