Campus Updates & Reminders:
During this season of gratitude, I wanted to express our deepest thanks on behalf of the entire Korematsu staff for sharing your student with us. Our community is very lucky to have such amazing support and collaboration from our families. We hope you have a wonderful break with your friends and family.
PTO Message:
KPTO would like to take a moment to thank all of the families who have donated and contributed in many ways over the past few months. We have had a really strong start to our school year! Our big spring fundraiser, Jog-A-Thon, was a great success and brought in $32,515. Our smaller fundraisers like Take-out Tuesday, Nugget Script, and Farm Fresh To You have seen good participation, and we are halfway to our fundraising goal for the year. Frozen Friday brought in a good amount of funds for our 6th grade science camp. Our Spooktacular event and Alex's lemonade stand was a fun way for us to come together as a community! Choir for 4th-6th on Friday mornings has been going great with 40 student signed up! The 3rd and 5th grade girls have had another successful Girls on the Run season, and our 1st-3rd graders had lots of fun at the Running Club. This week the teachers have felt our appreciation with all the warm and yummy meals and thanks to all the parent participation we are having a successful book fair!
Our PTO may be made up of a small group but with the help of every single one of you the PTO makes a big impact on our community, filling the gap between what the district can provide and what students and parents need. Your contribution, whether it is folding flyers, bringing soup, running a large event, donating or attending PTO meetings to collaborate has made a positive impact on our school. We are grateful for you!
